cuturon® print media

safety

During production, no environmentally hazardous substances like organic solvents, PVC, formaldehyde or ODC compounds are used. No environmentally harmful breakdown products occur at waste disposal sites or during thermic recycling.

All cuturon® grades are physiologically safe and free from substances which could cause harm to the environment or health.

cuturon® 307.030 and cuturon® 307.041 are suitable for direct food contact. We are happy to send you the corresponding certification on request.

Temperature resistance

cuturon® "soft" and cuturon® 307 have a high level of temperature resistance. A brief increase in the temperature strain of up to 180° C does not impair the material properties. Temperature strains from 180° C can lead to a discolouration of the surface.

cuturon® "FR" has a high level of temperature resistance as well. A brief increase in the temperature strain of up to 160° C does not impair the material properties. Temperature strains from 160° C can lead to a discolouration of the surface.

Flame Resistance

cuturon® "FR" 310.130 meets the requirements of flame resistant building materials in the category B2 and B1 according to DIN 4102-01 (certificate No. 230005275, MPA NRW, 01/2006) as well as the French M1 (certificate No. 12931-06, SNPE, 09/2006).

We will gladly send you the certificates on request: info@cuturon.de.

Resistance to solvents

cuturon® is resistant to most organic solvents. In direct contact with acids or tabloid caustic solutions, losses of strength or discolourations are possible. We recommend you carry out individual tests.

Printing

cuturon® nonwovens can be printed easily using offset, flexographic or screen printing. We recommend using an interleaving paper for sheetfed offset printing.

cuturon® "soft" sheets up to 50 x 70 cm can be offset printed without using interleaving paper. Sheets > 50 x 70 cm require an interleaving sheet.

Digital printing

cuturon® "soft" and cuturon® "FR" can be successfully printed by XEIKON machines.

copy machines and laser printers

cuturon® "soft" can be easily processed in single-sheet feed on many machines.

We have compiled a list of experiences with different types of machines for you: Download

This list is a summary of reports on experiences by our customers. It is no guarantee for processibility. We are constantly supplementing this list . If you have experiences which are missing from our list, we would be pleased to hear from you by email: r.joeken@neenah.de

continuous form printing

cuturon® "soft" can be very successfully printed by continuous form printing.

printing inks

cuturon® nonwovens can be printed well using normal offset colours or fast-drying alkali-proof textile colours.

printing shop climate

Just like with paper, you have to watch the right climate for cuturon® in the printing shop. The optimum is approx. 20° C at approx. 50 – 60 % relative humidity. We recommend storing the packed reams and reels for at least 24 hours in the printing shop so they can adjust to the temperature. Please only open the vapour proof packaging just before starting to print.
