varitess® are wetlaid nonwovens made from long-fibred pulp and synthetic fibres.
The raw nonwoven materials are produced on an inclined wire machine and then reinforced with aquaeous dispersions, for example. The nonwovens are smoothed and/or coated to achieve special surface properties.
We developed a vast product range for the different technologies in the wallcovering production.
Most of our products are available with FSC pulp.
varitess® is the ideal substrate for high-quality and easy-to-use wallcoverings:
An extensive product range was developed and optimized for the different methods of manufacturing wallcoverings, such as for example, coating or screen printing, rotogravure printing, flexo-printing, surface printing, embossing...
In principle, varitess® can be processed like paper to produce wallcoverings. Possible differences to conventional papers:
After coating, varitess® can be dried at temperatures up to 230°C. Embossing stability is improved by applying heat onto the web, e.g. 100 – 130°C
varitess® can be printed using screen printing, rotogravure printing, flexo printing, surface printing or digital printing.
varitess® is preferably supplied in the standard widths used in the wallcovering industry.
Standard basis weights: 30 to 200 g/m²
Colours: white; on request, varitess® can also be produced in colour.
